Not much going on in the movies...unless you want to argue the pros and cons of Minority Report in the forum.

Neverwinter Nights has much of my attention lately. Also, the lack of action on our townhouse getting sold is upsetting. We found out it has $1000 termite damage today. I hope we can move in before August.

I updated videogames.

Saturday 6.22.02 - 10:27pm PST

Kim and I did the walkthrough for our condo today. It was not cleaned, there was furniture still in it, and the plumbing had not been taken care of yet. So...we sent the sales agent out of there with a list of stuff to do. The electrical stuff had been fixed so far as I could tell, but that still leaves a lot for them to do.

I updated movies and videogames with a little stuff. Neverwinter Nights calls to me.

Tuesday 6.18.02 - 8:15pm PST

I updated movies with some stuff. Still not much going on, so here are some frames of the horror movie we shot in KY. I hope to have something edited soon, but I'm lazy and I like to play games and watch TV...so get off my back!

Anthony Greer - Actor...sort of.

I had to buy a lot of Halloween blood because our home made blood looked like kool-aid.

Kim as a victim. She always ends up uncomfortable whenever I shoot video.

This shot might become my poster...if there is to be a poster.

Not bad for no tripod, one light, one blue gel, and shot in one night. Horror is fun because of the "special effects" i.e. slinging blood on people. By the way, dishwashing soap takes fake blood off of walls.

Sunday 6.16.02 - 5:15pm PST

I spent most of the morning watching the cartoons on Homestar Runner and laughing my ass off while Kim cooked pancakes. I highly recommend it if you like the stuff on Adult Swim.

I updated movies.

Thursday 6.13.02 - 9:13pm PST

I'm going to archive some news stuff because I'm posting some pictures below.

Not a lot of entertainment news this week, so I've been slow to update. As I said in the forum, Kim and I are trying to get this town house in North Hollywood bought, so that gets some of my attention. Also, last night, Kim's car decided to blow all the coolant out all over the engine. We had to have the car towed to the Mitsubishi dealer this morning and she needed a new water pump.

I watched Mad Max last night, and it reminded me that I still need to shoot my car chase in the desert. Here are some pictures from my first attempt. I'll get some video stills when I copy the movies from Kim's computer back over to mine.

Anthony asking, "What's my motivation?"

Kim and Anthony were troopers. It was easily over 100 degrees inside the cars.

My "cast and crew" at the "craft services table". You may not be able to see it, but there is contempt. I was the only one having a good time.

Me. The sun was so bright, that I could not see the image to focus it, so I had to drape a black towel over my head to set up each shot.

Lesson learned: if you want to shoot a car chase in the desert, take more than 3 people, take a bigger cooler, and don't plan on doing it in July.

Before heading back out there, I'd like to spend about $2000 and make my car look like this except black of course:

There is a lot of stuff I'd like to do with $2000. Anyone interested in investing, email me and I'll send you my address...seriously.

I updated movies, videogames, and the faqs. I realized that I never explained the name of the site.

Lewis Dominates Tyson

Lennox Lewis knocked out Mike Tyson in the 8th round on Sunday night. It was a good fight in that it lasted for 8 rounds, but it was obvious to me that Lewis was going to win after the first couple rounds. Tyson could not overcome the reach disparity, and could not get close enough to connect with any real punches. He made some terrible attempts to one-punch Lewis, but to no avail. You can read about the specifics on ESPN. Kim and I bought the fight on Friday night, but I got an email from Mike saying he was getting it. So, I called up and cancelled, and we went to South Pasadena to watch it. I was surprised at how ineffective Tyson was, but I was more surprised by his conduct. He was in control and even gentlemanly after the fight. I do not think that he should get special recognition for doing what every other boxer does, just like I do not think people should brag about never having been to jail. Still, though, I expected antics, and there were none. So, in that respect, Tyson scores a victory. However, in the ring, he took a serious beating.

Also, the US plays Korea tomorrow in the World Cup. We scored a huge upset when we beat Portugal, so a victory against Korea would really surprise everyone.

I updated Movies and Games with stuff. I'm considering starting another section on the site for people to write serialized stories. Let me know if there are any budding writers out there who would like to post a story they have written in sections, or just write one and I'll post it as you go. I'm just playing with the idea.

Tuesday 6.4.02 - 6:01pm PST

I've made some changes to the Forum and archived some posts on there.

Also, I updated Movies with some stuff.

Some nimrod is buying DVDs and sending them to my house. So far, I've gotten a second copy of A.I., Spy Game, and Ocean's 11. I'll probably be listing some stuff on Ebay soon.

Earth and Beyond seems to be getting better the more I play it.

The United States has their first World Cup game tomorrow morning at 2am PST against Portugal. We will more than likely lose. I'll probably try to catch some of the replay while I am at work, rather than stay up to watch it.

Sunday 6.2.02 - 7:09pm PST

I updated the Movies and Videogames sections with lists of stuff I want. Kim and I saw The Sum of All Fears today. It was better than I expected, but not spectacular.

Fight Stopped When Boxer Attempts to Grow Second Head

Kim and I watched the Holyfield / Rahman fight tonight. It started off as a pretty good fight, until Rahman and Holyfield banged heads. In the old days, they would have pulled the razor blade and cut that thing open, but I guess you can't have boxers slinging pints of blood at each other anymore. It just isn't sanitary. The IT director where I work said he was getting the Tyson / Lewis fight, so I hope to be able to see it at his house. I think it will be a good fight. I'd like to see a "boxing match", but if Tyson waded into the ring with a flaming broad sword, that would be something, too. I hope that it is just a really good fight, though. I'd like to see Tyson lose, because I don't really like it that a person who is that insane makes that much money for beating the shit out of somebody. Of course, if I really didn't like it, I wouldn't pay for the fight. I guess as long as people are willing to get in the ring with him, I'll be there to see it.

Kim and I also went to the LA Zoo today. She was hoping to get to hold a koala bear, but the koala exhibit was closed down. Being the resourceful boyfriend that I am, I found her a koala bear and snapped a picture of it in its natural habitat. I also let her hold it and was forced to do so myself.

I remember these plastic injection mold souvenirs from going to zoos as a child. I also remember that they come out of the machine at the approximate temperature of lava. After waiting about 3 seconds for it to cool, I reached in to grab it, and sure enough...lava. Old habits die hard.

Walking around at the zoo, I realized how little respect people have for the animals. While watching a silverback mountain gorilla sit in the shade, I noticed some people whistling and clapping trying to get its attention. I mean, if they were in the wild, and that small fence wasn't there, would they still be so eager to get its attention? Same thing while watching two lions. Large, intimidating, powerful animals that would kill you given the chance, and here are what might as well be a pack of upright gazelles in their eyes yelling for the lions to get up and do something. I couldn't work in a zoo. I would always be turning the animals loose on the public yelling, "Have some respect!!" It was a good day, though. Sometime we'll have to make a trip to the San Diego Zoo.

Last thing, Kim and I watched Mulholland Dr again tonight. We have not watched it since we saw it in the theater. After a second viewing, I stand by my theory. DO NOT READ UNLESS YOU HAVE SEEN THE MOVIE...not that it will make any sense to anyone either way.
