Q: Why is the site called Guy in a Suit Productions?

A: Kim and I watch a lot of horror movies, both big budget and small. When we would see really bad horror, we would say, "This is a guy-in-a-suit production," referring to a really low budget horror movie where the villain or monster is nothing more than a guy in a suit. Then we thought it would be funny to make really bad horror movies using the moniker 'Guy in a Suit Productions' as the production company. So she bought the domain and here we are. We have shot a section of a bad horror movie, and I would like to redo it. That is still in the works. Anyway, I hope that answers that question.

Q: Who are you?

A: My name is Travis Meacham and I work as an IT Consultant for an entertainment company in Los Angeles, CA. I aspire to greater things, but greater things do not pay very well yet. So consulting will have to suffice for now. This website does not constitute "greater things". Greater things include being paid for one or all of the following: writing scripts or script doctoring, directing movies or television, or quite possibly designing or producing video games.

Q: Who is Kim?

A: Kim is my other half. We spend all of our time and do everything together, mostly because we have a lot of the same interests. Kim is that rare woman that is interested in video games. She built all of what you see here except for the stuff on the white pages. The content is me, but she did all the hard stuff. Kim works as the webmaster for the Parents Television Council as well as working as a freelance web designer. She moved out here (to California) with me in March of 2001. She posts in the forum under kerrigun15.

Q: Why are you polluting the Internet with more senseless drivel?

A: Because I can. Kim thought it would be good to keep me writing so she created a place for me to write about stuff that I'm interested in, mostly movies and videogames...or anything else I want.

Q: Why should I care about what interests you?

A: Because all of the stuff I'm interested in is good. Some of the stuff you might be interested in may not be so good. This website will give you stuff to be interested in that is good so you can impress your friends and coworkers. I plan on updating the site at least every few days, and I put up the latest news that I find out about in the movies and videogames industries. I also write about events in our lives.

Q: Where do you find all this stuff?

A: I have an extensive collection of websites that I frequent, and I read a lot of magazines. Magazines are almost worthless now, because by the time they hit my house, I know most of what is in them. Oh well, until I put a computer in my bathroom, the magazines will have to suffice.

Q: Are you really in Spider-Man? How did that happen?

A: Yes. Easy, they said, "If you show up here at 8am, we'll drive you to the set and you can be an extra." Kim and I just happened to be involved in a particular shot that put us in close proximity to Tobey Maguire. There was no pay and no credit, but it was a day well spent.

Q: Can I read your script?

A: No. Not until I finish the 2nd draft. Some famous writer said that, "The first draft of anything is shit."

Q: So when will it be finished?

A: Uhh...next question...

Q: What is your deal with Star Wars?

A: I like the movies and the story they tell. I won't get into a debate about Episode I. I saw it and it is what it is. It is a Star Wars movie and tells a section of the story that is very important. Some aspects of it are very good, and others are not. However, I will not cry out that "George Lucas raped my childhood!" If you give your childhood over to someone, they can basically do whatever they want with it. Also, I will not address any questions about which side of the "fan war" I'm on: those being fans of the The Matrix, fans of The Lord of the Rings, and fans of Star Wars. I think all of these franchises are wonderful, and I am thankful that they are all being released during my lifetime. It IS possible to like more than one. I'm very against someone hating a movie before they see it, even though I am guilty of this all the time. For instance, I hate The New Guy...and I haven't seen it. I'm a Star Wars fan through and through and I look forward to each movie.
